While our best coaches are on defense.Wish it was a little more balanced.Richt,Brown,Hartley,Dugans,Searels and even Richt JR with QBs all seem to be good recruiters. Now on the other side Kool,Diaz and Rumph have done a great job coaching the guys on the team but seem to be a repellent when it comes to recruits.Banda is the only one on that side of the ball that seems to hit i off with kids.Hope the new assistant is on defense and a good recruiter,we need help there.

How has Diaz been a "repellent" when it comes to recruits, when he's literally landed every target he specifically wanted?

Because they don't understand schematics and recruiting what you need for your system. they only see recruiting rankings and stars and if we don't get the guy they think is good we aren't recruiting well.

Good point

Getting Joyner was clutch,

Those worried about stars are crazy, all of our defensive recruits had elite offers. Joyner had offers from bama Auburn, same with hall. Class is amazing, if we can get Samuel Campbell or surtain then nobody can say anything negative about this class

I was looking through the class in detail the other day and there is literally not one single player on the list that you even question if they'll be able to make an impact at Miami, and then even more so, the vast majority of them can make an impact next year!! Maybe outside of a sure fire, day 1 starter within the OL group, there isn't anything else you could even nit pick at. ELITE class!!!!

Don’t coaches recruit both sides of the ball?

I know other staffs do....not sure if Richt is a believer in that.

Not really a suprise being that most of the expienced coaches are on offense. Still think we signed a very good defensive class so far.
