Industry sources tell Sports Illustrated they believe the SEC and broadcast partner ESPN are “honing in on” talks that would alter the conference’s scheduling while potentially enhancing its media-rights revenue. Specifically, the alleged plan revolves around an SEC–Big Ten scheduling agreement that would produce annual matchups between the two leagues. The presumptive accompanying piece of such a move would be the Big Ten and broadcast partner Fox sharing some of that game inventory and producing more money for that conference as well.

I’ll gladly accept the honor of being the first (on this thread) to say FVCK the B1G and double FVCK the $EC.

We’d better join one of those conferences soon. We’re not going to be able to schedule anyone from either of those conferences and we’re going to be stuck having to go undefeated every year to make the playoffs
Wouldn’t it really be in the best interest of everyone - B1G, $EC, ACC, networks, players, fans, etc for the mega conferences to INCLUDE us along with about half of the rest of the conference and include half the Big12 and a few others also?

Think I started saying P2 or die on here in about 2021. It ain’t changed. The ACC is beyond dead.
I’ve been predicting the big boys were going to take their ball and go play in their own league for a while. The only question is do they keep the bottom feeders around or do they replace them with the handful of ACC/Big 12 teams that matter?

Is this just the challenge games that college basketball does? It hardly proves anything, just another way for the television providers to get more money by scheduling best on best every year but then have Rutgers play vandy. Still **** em both, media has ruined college football lol

Except they strengthen their “Strength of Schedule” by beating up on each other, and in the end the goal is 5 teams a piece for playoffs, and make every other conference look weak
