Season tickets sold out for the 2nd year in a row

Miami is a terrible sports town.

But will they show up?

Probably not, until UNC and Duke show up. A lot of Miami fans buy season tickets, just to attend the big games. This is one of the best home schedules in recent memory, it's not shocking that we'd see a sellout. That said, with this team being a work in progress, you know a couple of early season losses will lead to some of the also ran OOC games having no one there. That said, it's great that the basketball program is drawing enough to where it is a profitable enterprise. That means that football is holding on to more of their revenue.

Last years home schdule was much better then this years. No UF OOC, No Lville, Syracuse, UVA or Pitt. We do get UNC at home this year.

Most great hires have some element of luck to them. There are few circumstances in which you go out and attract the best guy on the market, IE Alabama and Nick Saban. Think about this, Jimmy Johnson wouldn't have gotten hired here if he hadn't sold himself to Sam Jankovich(Who wanted John Cooper). Butch Davis was the fifth choice(at best) after Erickson bailed. Coach L was a **** good hire, but a lot of people didn't realize he had this much left in the tank. Coach L not only won with scheme and development early on, he's recruited well, and he's built some **** good staffs. Look at Huger and Konkol, those guys have bright futures, and I think that Caputo and Brunt will be in position to be head coaches down the line.

Hence why I said one of the best in recent memory. Last year's schedule was deeper, but Miami didn't get both UNC and Duke at home, and as we all know, that drives the bus.
