What Safety concerns?? That someone will hit like Sean T

Yeah safety concerns. The issue is basically medics need to be able to see into players eyes because they might not want to remove the helmet immediately. Something like that.

In a way it makes sense that Sean was the last one to really rock the tinted visor. It's iconic now.

Yeah that's not going to happen.

Way too much liability on the line now
They should put that **** in the contract....sign here to play football....ps u might be fuqed up when u get older play at your own risk. What they going to do tell soccer players not to head the ball or boxers cant punch people in the face. If i was a player about to sign a six figure deal im sigbing on that dotted line just like all football players do. I havent seen anyone not sign there rookie deal and say i have to many headaches.

They allow the NFL guys to wear them during OTAs and summer camps, but not in live play. Concussion protocol issues for the medics to see their eyes.

They should develop a visor that flips up and down like a motorcycle helmet does. That way you wouldn't have to remove the helmet and just open the visor to look at their eyes if there was an injury

Or a tiny hinge on the side to roll it up and down like a window.

If I had thought of that idea, I wouldn't be sharing it here with all of us yucks. But don't worry, I'll give you a cut.

In all seriousness, yes, that's a good idea. I think it would have to clip closed at the bottom to avoid it possibly popping up and hurting someone during a tackle, but that's not a huge obstacle.
