Okay, I Kinda agree that its not Richts "way" to roll with the "riskier" player at QB. I get that. However the mere fact that Rosier is a 5th yr senior and isn't separating himself from 3 ******* freshman QBs, imo shows that the Freshman aren't actually the riskier plays here. The only reason Rosier can possibly be viewed as the "safer" choice is you know what you're going to get - ****. Whereas with the freshman you either get an even bigger ****, or something quite pleasant.

And Quatro you say you can't advocate throwing away a season to get another guy ready, but thats not the case I'm even making. Obviously for long term success its better to rock with a freshman, which you agree with. But I am LITERALLY saying it is better for our short term success THIS season as well. Maybe it wouldn't be the best move for us to throw a Frosh out vs LSU, but the next 3 weeks are all warm up games for us. We give the freshman QBs real game experience those 4 weeks, and I have no doubt they will have improved and surpassed anything Rosier could offer us by week 5. The Only question is how much can Rosier improve? I'm of the opinion that he has absolutely reached his ceiling. While the 3 freshman are all currently at their floors essentially.

So My overall point is IN AN EVEN COMPETITION, where no one has separated themselves - or even just marginally - Do you rock with the guy already at his ceiling, or one of the guys that are at their floor? The guy at his ceiling is ****, and wont grow as the season progresses, which is whats most important. The guys at their floor are just about guaranteed to improve as the season progresses. Thats the situation we are in.
