How many kids can we take this class? I noticed a few of our commits are early enrollees, which affects the number. Anyone with an idea of how many we can take in 2017?

77 on roster, 10 graduating. Room for 18 not accounting for attrition to draft, transfer, cuts, injury, etc. I'd expect you'll see the most changes at OL, LB, and CB....if i had to guess outside of the draft i'd say 5-8 of these kids will transfer out.

If we have room for 18 already, then the class will be 25+. With a new staff, you know you'll see 5+ transfers/early graduations. A few of the incoming FR may have trouble making it in. And you always get a flip or two a class, so you want to accept a couple above the limit and see who actually shows up.

They'll improve the class with OL 3-4 (+4), DB's 4 (+8), WR's 4 (+12), 2-3 LB's (+15), 4 DL/DE (+19), 2 RB's (+21), 2 QB's (+23), 1 TE (+24). Of course these numbers will vary by position, but based on needs these numbers seem reasonable.

You forgot late signee WR Dayall Harris, who will affect the scholarship number for next year as he's not a senior, and you forgot 5th year transfer S Colbert who won't affect the number as he's a senior. 79 total on scholly as of now.

Cuzz, I'm counting ONLY 9 SR's not counting the kicker. Add in the transfer from Texas, we still gonna be young. If errybody stays, we gon be nice in year 2 of the Richt era!

Right now its 18, 17 if Edwards takes a medical hardship. The 2016 EEs are irrelevant to the 2017 class.

Every year we go through this. Every year, people underestimate class sizes because they forget about attrition. There will be a ton of attrition. Lots of players still left on the roster that could find themselves being asked to graduate or transfer if they want playing time. Some will leave early for the draft.

Class will be 25-30 strong.

My impression is just the opposite. It seems like every year the class size is over estimated. For instance, in order for the class size to be 30, 12 or 13 non seniors currently on the roster have to leave before next September. While possible, its unlikely.

I cannot see Richt changing the culture to his liking with two small classes in a row. I expect this one to be somewhere between 24-28.
