With holliet gone and most likely these two gone, would that count towards our scholarship reductions for the year?

Can someone clarify the scholarship reductions... Our numbers go up and down all the time, how do they actually count them or rather what period? Is it calculated based on how many you have once the season starts until post season?

We are down 9 over the next three years. The important factor is unlike most sanctions we can divide it up however we want as long as we lose 1 minimum each year. Scholarship numbers also only count once the season starts. I think if we are at 78 now with those 3 gone we should sign full classes in 15' & 16' knowing full well some kids will transfer.

Thanks, that's what I thought but wanted to make sure. Depth is going to kill us once again this year, we still have some JAG's at some positions and not enough depth at others. Oh well, at least it will be mostly over with after this year if we get down to 78 and then do 84 in '14 and '15. Problem is it's hard to find guys that can come in and contribute right away so it will be even a few more years before we really get it built back up to where it needs to be.

I use it to refer to guys who'd rather be playing Call of Duty than practicing but some guys use it to refer to anyone who isn't a super star player. Anyone who contributes or does the best they can is a Cane to me and not a JAG.
 
With the rapeists out and hope, hoilett, and perry gone.. We freed up 5 ships. I'm sure more moves will be made.
 
I'm sure we didn't play at 85 last season ... are those scholarships able to be used against the 9? I know our penalties weren't handed out until well after the season started but am curious if the NCAA allowed us to use the scholarship numbers of last season towards the penalty.
