Sam Saxton 2019 3* QB Unsigned Miami Should Evaluate given the need for QB depth going into 2019 season. He is 6'5" 200lbs from Texas, he has a descent arm and is very accurate.

After starting off his high school career at Westlake High (where Foles played), Saxton transferred to St. Michael’s for his junior year and threw for 2,151 yards and 30 touchdowns to only three interceptions.

Always feels like Michigan can recruit these unheralded guys and turn them into decent QB’s - Cousins, Cook, Stanton, Hoyer And now Lewerke.

Skip the evaluations and just offer him. We’ve passed on too many guys because the staff didn’t like what they saw yet the kids go on to top notch p5 teams. Not good enough for our sorry asses but good enough for Clemson lol smh.

How dare you question the QB whisperer!

I wish we’d have chose some kids in Texas instead of random projects committed to app state.

Interesting Interview with the young man from Texas. He actually could be a good fit for Mark Richt both culturally ( with richt not sure about the team though as Saxton seems to have some redneck in him) and Athletically he runs a 4.6 sec 40 and has good accuracy with a quick release. He also comes from a QB family so there will be less coaching needed ( lessening the Jon Richt effect).

Grad / undergrad transfer** I’d rather go that route

Yes Saxton had a tu'rrible high school senior year but Miami needs emergency depth at QB going into 2019 because Williams could decide to transfer after the spring and Perry could end up dismissed the way he is going.

A regular transfer will have to sit a year and landing a grad transfer is not a guaranteed success.

Go Canes

Great find here. I wouldn’t be surprised if both Weldon and Perry move on come January. UM probably needs to sign two QB’s...

If your scenarios work out, it will fall right into place with what I been saying all along. "What about Cade"???
