If we could get AC this year, do you think it would be possible to land both Sony Michel and Dalvin Cook next year?

The best case scenario would be:

2012- Duke Johnson
2013-Alex Collins
2014- Sony Michel & Dalvin Cook
2015- Jordan Scarlet

That would be like the 2001 backfield
LOADED

It seems sometime kids want to go where they get the most playing time. Hopefully Jed shows that he can get the backs lots of carries in his system and doesn't get overly pass happy.

No way.

Landing Collins will make it tough to land Cook or Sony. The carries will be gobbled up by those two guys in 2013 and 2014.

we will get one of them no matter what happens this year. You don't let two 5 star backs leave your backyard.

We will get one of them. Have we been bad this long we forgot what happens when you stack depth and talent on your roster? They won't have it any easier at Bama or any of the other top programs that will be after them.

look at alabama, lsu, even florida state have 3 really good rbs and got a 5 star to commit and still want collins or derrick green so it doesn't matter the rbs will go to the best fit for themselves

How do you compare our program and Bama right now?

Bama is like going to Harvard for law school. Miami is like going to Miami for law school now. Maimi used to be Harvard. Maybe again soon.

We have a ways to go before these kids will come to Miami to sit on the bench like they will at LSU or Bama.

i think the point he is making is that most of the top backs dont shy from competition becuz they're good players already there. **** alabama is bringing in 3 4* RB this year, with alabama have a 4*freshman balling this year, and former 4* dee hart and others backing him up. so i dont see why a RB wouldnt choose miami just based soley on the fact that miami has duke and collins. anywhere they go there will be good backs already on campus

We have a legitimate shot to land all of them. Remember that these kids could care leas who is there they embrace competition. Cook could have easily transferred from Central to be by himself but stayed. The four of them Duke , Collins, Sony and Cook could mesh and make this backfield similar the 2001 backfield that had Portis, Mcgahee, Gore and Davenport.

Both Cook and Sony have mentioned they arent afraid of competition and want to compete for carries. Sorry Randy, but we dont give up on recruits before we even try anymore in these neck of the woods, kthxbye!

In all honesty Collins, Cook, and Sony is exactly what we need. Keep the inferiority complex somewhere else. I look forward to watching them all tote the rock at the U. If we cant get them we cant but **** anything can happen from now til then.

My point they have 10 deep at rb literally i mean if you look on rivals the past 3 years they have to have double digit running backs so do you think that it's all about them being a monster program? Some of it yes but when you get no playing time for years yeah you won't be happy it's about what coaches can sell the best not just for college but for futures in the NFL

Except this isn't law school. The NFL doesn't pay based on where you went to school. They don't pay any more for a guy from Bama than they would for a guy from Miami.

Most kids of that ilk don't consider competition. If I think I'm the nicest there is, why would I care who else is there?

Buckeyeman are you still posing as Canesman even on this site?

The point is if kids were scared of having two highly-touted backs ahead of them, it would eliminate a majority of their list. You think he won't see ESPN Top 150 players ahead of him at Bama, Lsu, Sc, Texas, etc?

If Michel and Cook are afraid of Collins, they would be afraid of each other, so we wouldn't get both anyway. I also agree with RiDLer80: I want to be good in 2013, and I think Alex would make a major difference.
