Rumph=Ice Harris

Elder wasn't even a top corner in the ACC this time last year. Now people are saying he could be a 1-2 round pick. And Rumph doesn't get credit for that? He took a player with talent and elevated it. Y'all act like Saban takes 1 star guys and has them looking like studs. He's doing his job.

Redwine is playing out of position and really shouldn't be seeing the field this early in his career.

Going at the job Rumphs done as a coach is nitpicking.

I will judge him off of how many DBs he can get in 2018. If he can't get a class full of studs in the DB class in SoFla history then I will gladly roast him too

Could be worse. I could have made a thread asking if Miami fans could use Richt giving the players bibles as a way to fire him

Lol.

That was right after the game. I was extremely upset like all of us and I made a stupid thread. I'll admit that was a dumb thing to do.

Corn has always been a good cover guy, but the way he's playing the run and bubble screens is outstanding. He's a MUCH more physical player. He's getting off blocks and blowing plays up in the backfield.

Our corners aren't playing on roller skates like they have in the past.

Nevermind that our Corners are playing well over expectation...because that doesn't matter in position coaches or anything

Thank Diaz and dline coach. Corn has always been corn.
No he hasn't. He went from a late round prospect to a late First- early second round prospect in one offseason under his tutelage, he has 2 safeties playing CB at a above average level and a late enrollee freshman holding his own, that's all him. There's better D-lines in CFB than ours

Another dumb thread on here which devolves into defenders of Rumph vs those 'hating' on him. Most of the talk is not even around recruiting its his coaching...

We all know what happened here, the staff played the whole honest/ nice guy act when they should have just done an Urban Meyer and given him a 'shot' at CB before moving him to FS two weeks later.

Case closed.

Our corners aren't playing in constant backpedal because of Diaz's scheme change. That's not Rumph. Corn has always been a willing and able tackler. He's being asked by the scheme to be more physical and involved in the run game, and, predictably, he's answered the bell because he's a bad ***.

He's had Corn Elder playing as a first rounder and Colbert/Redwine playing a lil above average, that's way more than I expected. He may be a sh.tty recruiter but he's done a **** good job coaching so far

Wrong, on all accounts except that scrumph isn't worth **** on the recruiting trail.

While I agree with what you're saying overall...

Edwards in particular wasn't on him, that was Banda... Banda was the one recruiting Edwards & it was Banda that tried to sell him on playing FS when he only wants to play CB.

However, Rumph hasn't done sh*t either, so I don't disagree with anyone that wants him gone.

Rumph gonna use Corn getting that 1st round pick as his juice.. If he is smart he will attach his name all over that.

Woah - corn was a star athlete before rumph ever knew who he was? Plus, he was our top CB last year.

Exactly. Some of these guys act like Corn was some sort of journeyman gimp coming into this season. Anyone watching knew he was an elite player.

Redwine isn't playing above average. And neither is Colbert.

Lol.

The corners are playing well so for now I can't complain I just keep looking at Michael Jackson & Malek like **** what a difference coaching is making same with bandy.

Neg me to death

I deserve it fellas

Rumph is going to be a really solid college coach!! He's still learning the process as a college coach, so give him time and Rumph could be the head man here at Miami one day!! BUT.........

I'm thinking about the recruits Miami could be adding to this secondary next year, WOW.. Add Campbell and keep every other commit in place, this group will be sick!! Then next year, Miami starts the season off against the Bayou Bengals.. BUT.......

With that group, Rumph will have these players playing at a very elite level very early!!

Side note, couldn't be happier for Marco Wilson in lizard land lol. Dumpster
