Marco Wilson picked Florida over Miami. It looks like experience was the difference. Wilson said that he felt more comfortable with UF assistant coach Torrian Gray than he did with Rumph and backed it up with his comments. "I love Coach Rumph it's just that it's first year there and I don't want to take any chances with that," Wilson said. "I have seen what Torrian has done in the past — he's put a lot of guys in the league and he's dealt with a lot of great DBs

It's the truth though torian gray has put out a lot of good dbs in the league at va tech

Win this year and everything will change.these kids dont understand the beast that is miami. Then seen a **** poor team the last 10 years and think it will be the same results this year. As soon as we show them otherwise, they will come. Its obvious the wins are going to start rolling in for us fans, but recruits need to see it.

Why are we taking about Wilson still. It was put before this is his first year being a starter . Fck him

Did we go after Torrian Gray? I'm guessing no because Diaz knew he was going to promote Banda to safeties and Torrian would not have taken a demotion to only coach CBs.

I don't understand why he would commit before seeing how Rumph's players perform. **** this family for real

They brought the legacy hate upon themselves. He just justifying going to gates with his bro and friends. Talent and hard work puts you in the league not a gate coach.

Dear God,

Please let Coach Rumph be the best DB coach that ever lived and let the Wilson family fade into the obscurity they deserve.

Lame as excuse and loss all my respect...He was your head coach you ******, no way in **** you don't know how good of a coach he is. Heck, you went to fcking paradise camp and GOT COACHED BY HIM. ****** excuse for -bagman was bigger-

Hmmmm..sounds weird..you didnt pick Miami cause of Rumphs inexperience, but you were coached by him 2 of your high school years??? Lol..that statement is a joke... you should be more comfortable with him because of familiarity... Marco worked with him before... you dont knw crap about Torrian Gray.... he went to UF cause of his brother..im convinced

Loucheiz Purifoy 2.0 is his peak. This is the type of kid who had the brand new game system and newest games the day they were released.

Need them dogs who had to wait months and tide themselves over by playing the display at Gamestop or Wal Mart.

so he's picking a guy that has never coached him over a guy who coached him in high school?

Marcus just said in a very PC manner that in his opinion Rumph is just not a very good coach at this time.

This....y'all acting like the kid forgot Rumph was his head coach for 2 years. Naw he knows that and was like no thanks. I wish we could get his naw PC comment on Rumph's coaching

I'd understand this line of thinking if Rumph were nothing more than a high school coach making his college coaching debut. However, Rumph played at a VERY high level. You know, being an NFL first rounder and all. I know not all players make good coaches, but Rumph, by all accounts, has shown at several camps that he knows what the **** he is talking about. He's not just some super athlete that excelled, but a heady guy that knows his stuff.

Like someone else said, if you have concerns about his college coaching ability, wait and see what he does this year then decide. Does anyone know if Rumph is a tough coach? That could explain why some kids don't really want to play for him.
