Roderick Johnson decommits from UFag and tweets out before decommiting that Miami is his dream school. Peter do some investigating on this and get back to us.

I posted about him a couple days ago and said that Miami would most likely be the spot if we offered.. I reached out to him for an interview but he hasn't responded

I doubt it, its been over a month that he told people that he wants a Miami and that it's his dream school. Hope we get him and Kirkland.
 
From what I've heard from Gator fans, it seems like the reason he and UF parted ways is because he hasn't fully kept up with the plan laid out for him (academics?). They made it seem like they wanted him in their class, but it just didnt end up working.

Not sure how accurate that is, but it makes me think grades may be a concern.

I'm sure our coaches are aware of him, so if they haven't offered, it has to be for a reason. I'll be interested in monitoring this, because he does some like a talented tackle prospect.

Recruits that are known to be behind on certain academic requirements (core classes or otherwise) usually take some summer classes or online classes.

This is just second hand info I heard, nothing concrete. But the fact that it is summer doesn't automatically dismiss it.

Got a chance to see him in person. He's not an elite runblocker but he's a superb athlete for his size. Would really fit the zone stretch scheme that Fisch ran last year. He's more a Brandon Linder type of blocker than a true mauler. Shocked he hasnt been offered already to be honest.

Grades. FSU might be able to admit him. WVU is a serious contender now as they always are with these kids.

i cant question private school kids when it comes to grades....private schools in fla usually get their kids qualified......

kid doesnt have an offer because he didnt camp here...

My year at Chaminade we sent like kids to Prep School before they made it to D1...

those kids were like one year mercenaries u guys recruited that came there with messed up grades...
