Defensive player of the year according to Pro Football Writers.

Seriously, can anyone find me a better and more prolific talent evaluator than Butch Davis??

Butch is never coming back to the "U".. 62 years old and has lost credibility with the young crowd..damaged goods from UNC program..damaged goods from lying his way out of the "U" in 2000..Has now now made it back to a part-time NFLer and has no reason to return to NCAA

Quinn was wanted by all the big programs, wasn't exactly a diamond in the rough

Lol, ok...so he gets no credit for landing a kid at UNC that "major" programs wanted? Butch is a beast. Can't be denied.

Sure, but you weren't saying that he was a great recruiter, you were saying he was a great talent evaluator. Jonathan Cooper from that same class is a better example, 3* whose only offers were the regional schools sans Clemson and turned into a top 10 pick.

He missed his entire senior season as Ft Dorchester High due to a brain tumor being removed. Played opposite of Carlos Dunlap.

Bro Robert Quinn was a 4* coming out of high school and the number 18 player at his position...he was not exactly a dimond in the rough..
