Richt has officially lost his mind.

What did you expect?

He is saying (in other words obviously, but between the lines) that it is difficult in Miami because fan expect championships and in public schools they are more accepting of mediocrity and just being "top 10" like it was for him in Georgia.

The way I read it Richt basically said.

- This fan base isn't loyal at all. Which is true.
- We won't find anyone better then Blake James. This is potential true knowing this BOT will just hire Strawley or let one of their even more unqualified kids become AD. Nepotism.
- We aren't that far of from making noise. This is also true. We have the defensive problem solved for a few years now we just need a modern spread offense and better OL evaluations.

This fan base is borderline Dallas Cowboys. Except most wasn’t around for the championship years. They just read about it. They don’t understand about true program building and how this University has thrived off those kind. With that said, **** Richt. He wasn’t asked to leave. He was asked to make changes and didn’t want to let lil Jonnie go.

Which Cowboys? Landry Cowboys or Johnson Cowboys? JJ did it pretty fast. Unloaded Herschel Walker and made out like a bandit.

Richt has always been honest, especially if you read between the lines. People always tried to look for ways while he was here to discount what he said but in the end it was always truthful and tactfully said.

It's not just one thing here, the admin, the coaches, the NCAA sucking on the SEC, the lack of pride in the local community, the fanbase, there are a lot of issues but still with all of that we are on the cusp if we could field a decently coached team.

17 years and counting is far, imo.

The things you don't have to "worry about at a job like UGA or Florida" that you do at Miami, I would have liked specifics.

It sounded like this was just about attendance and attendance is dropping across the country. Also, the attendance issue persisted even when the program was at the top of college football.

Specifically, from someone like Richt, I'd like to know how a full stadium would help us convert a 3rd down, or get a QB to hit a receiver in the hands.
