Golden got EVERY single stud from here for his honeymoon: Duke, Howard, Bush, Leggett (didn't qualify but still), then Coley

obviously recruiting is not an exact science. plus Golden wasted the talent he did get but Richt at this time is not even touching this level of clean up.

all those great recruits and F*ckstick and his staff couldn't muster a Coastal championship. I'd much rather have coaches than recruiters. As the OP said, recruiting isn't an exact science and player developement is more important. Our staff now is light years better than the last one.
 
It really baffles me how Richt and staff didn't get the first year bump in recruiting like Golden did.

If i had to pick i would pick recruiter. Then the next coach will have something to work with. Golden was just an all time bad coach.

This should of been a huge red flag for Howard the way coley abused him. He was what he was but all in all he still a cane

If i had to pick i would pick recruiter. Then the next coach will have something to work with. Golden was just an all time bad coach.

Yup after this class he got worse and he still let studs leave so that ace recruiter talk is bs to me. He used to whiff on us all Americans and replace them with some hidden gem everyone that had no clue drooled over n said stars don't matter. We have someone who whiffs on juedy and goes after other all Americans....he knows what it takes to get it done. If he whiffs then he whiffs but he knows he needs real talent not maybe guys
 
He cleaned up because of duke, trust me if it wasnt for him those kids would be at other schools, still missed on a lot of kids that class too

That was 2012 and only because he signed 33, of which maybe half stayed. 2013 was top 20

The funny thing about this dumb "Richt didn't get a bump" narrative is that if we close on like 5 dudes it is meaningless.

For instance, if we sign Dean, Thomas, McFarland, Slaton and Edwards in addition to what we have right now, is this class not Top 10 in the country?

I'm willing to call a spade a spade biut let's maybe save the post-apocalyptic crap for after Signing Day.
