This season was a disappointment. There were positive moments and there's much to look forward to with all the talent returning and the new class next year. With that being said, however, this team significantly under achieved this year. There were moments where we looked like the Canes of old, and there was much of the season where we looked like we couldn't compete at a high school level. All in all it was a very frustrating, disappointing season. I'm not giving up on the "process" but Golden really needs to pull this team together and make some tough decisions this off season.

ppl think this season was disappointing because of the start we had thus raising expectations. 7-5 to 9-3 were realistic
 
If you had told me before the season started that we would be 9-3 I would've said that seems reasonable. After watching this season unfold and the team play the way it did, 9-3 is a total disappointment. There was such a lack of execution on both sides of the ball at times when we know they're capable of so much more.

Im sort of in the same category as Bob here.

Yes, there were some positives, especially total record that seem like the season was a success. There was also the win over uf, which is ALWAYS an elite victory. But in the end, the foul taste from this teams performances, primarily on D but also on O has been tough to handle. It really does feel less fulfilling.
 
So many chances blown.... 9-3 seasons at places like temple get contact extensions

Places like miami where you don't even win your weak division to play for the conference ship with historically bad D in year 3 causes doubt

I feel that every year will be a 3-4th in the Coasta,l excuse ridden "wait till next year" season

Tell me which Duke Recruiting class the last four years was better than ours. Which Duke Recruiting class was ranked within 40 spots of ours?
 
There were 3 weeks of frustration and 9 weeks of happiness.

Sprinkled in between we beat the NCAA.

I'm happy with this season...even if worried about our defense.

Any team who doesn't win the National Title's season is disappointing in my opinion.

Losing to dook and finishing 3rd in the coastal should have made it a disappointing season... Were miami not facking wake unc dook or vt

Complacency it's what kills big time programs like Texas USC etc...
 
Fans are dissapointed because we again had the worse defense in the acc.And our head coach doesn't seem to upset about it.

I guess this is where we differ...Im ****ed off that we did not go undefeated. I could give a **** less about where we ended up in the Coastal.

To me, the most frustrating thing was seeing the flashes where we looked like a real football team only to be followed by sub par play and so many opportunities squandered when we clearly have the talent to put it all together. We just don't get it done.
 
Starting with the NC game this team was really difficult to watch. It was beyond painful to watch the D get gashed by every opponent with a pulse this year. Borderline embarrassing at times.
