With the injury to Malcolm Lewis it got me thinking about freshmen who we haven't heard much about who will be redshirting this year.

Guys I'm guessing who will get shirts:
Crow
Dewey
Thompson
Dillard
Jones
Carter
Lewis
Gadbois
Isidora
Briscoe
O'Donnell
Hoillett
Blue
Hope
Dortch

Do any of you have anymore to add or subtract?

Allabouttheu, thanks for all of your hard work in keeping us informed. Appreciate it man.

+1. Thanks for all the info Allabouttheu
Nice to see us finally able to redshirt some freshmen who need an extra year. It's showing that guys like McGee and Mike James could have definitely used a redshirt year with them coming into their own in their junior and senior years.

Despite the fact we are playing a bunch of freshman its nice to see Golden is pretty much shirting everyone he can and not just wasting years for some kids as we have seen in the past

If we had depth the only FR to play this year would be Duke, Flowers, Kirby, Bush, Howard, and M. Lewis...

To boot--losing Malcolm Lewis was the best of both worlds. I hate he got injured in such a gruesome manner, but as long as he gets a medical redshirt, he could feasibly be at Miami 5 more years if needed (never used normal redshirt). If he is who I think he is, he'll only be here thru the 2016 season, but still.

Keep in mind that Angelo Jean-Louis will be a true Freshman next year as well. His prep year will end up being like a redshirt--dude ought to be ready for primetime come next season...actually, come January, as I think he'll be an EE.

Our actual freshmen (true + redshirt) next season should/could look like that list above along with these guys (projected):

Kevin Olsen
Keith Bryant
Artie Burns
Jamal Carter
Standish Dobard
Alex Gall
Angelo Jean-Louis
Travis Johnson
Jeremy Kerr
Ray Lewis III

Wishlist guys:

Matthew Thomas
Jermaine Grace
Denver Kirkland
Abens Cajuste
Demetrius Campbell
Elijah Daniel

We would still be super-young, but at least we'd see a lot of guys redshirted that honestly needed it...and could still afford to redshirt a large portion of the incoming class.

If Malcom Lewis is granted a medical redshirt he will only have 4 more years to play. You have 5 academic years to use 4 years of eligibility. The only way he can get another redshirt & a 6th year is if he has another major injury that causes him to miss another year.
