Recruiting with Taggert at fsu

Will be just fine. Richt can recruit with anyone in the country. People are forgetting that Jimbo was an elite recruiter. Not much will change in my opinion, fsu will continue to recruit well, Miami will recruit better than them with Richt.

Meanwhile, we are sitting at the #3 class in the country with a couple big names still very much in play. The 2019 and 2020 classes are already well under way and looking great and the staff has made serious headwinds in the South Florida community.

We will be just fine. Everyone needs to relax.

Jimbo was a top 3 recruiter in the country and annually brought in top 5 classes. Can’t do muh better than that

Richt did also at UGA. Now that he’s in hotbed SoFL I expect a top 5 class every season unless it’s small in numbers.
 
Yup. Jimbo recruited like a maniac. Will be nice going against someone without his pedigree on the trail.

Agree with the most part, but CMR was just in Tx. Lockdown S.Florida and don't forget about Tx......Noah Cain and Bubba Baxa isn't enough. I'm tired of OSU, Bama UCLA, and USC going anywhere except Miami.

taggert may be able to recruit like Jimbo. But I doubt he'll do as good a job covering up all the arrests and academic issues. It was crazy to see a jimbo sweep everything under the rug and those were only the stories we heard about. You had to get caught punching a girl in the face to get the boot.

He pulled in top 10 classes every year at UGA. He should be able to at the very least match that here and I think he is well on his way to doing better.
 
The only way he can improve is by targeting SFla kids more than jimbo did the last few years, as well as locking down Tampa, etc. The school that will be hurt the most by Willie T will be UF. I just don't see how Mullen will have the same inroads as UM and FSU.

^^^^^^^^ Mullens was an asst at Florida back in the day so he may still have a few contacts that can make everyone except Richt work harder.
 
Jimbo had charisma but he was recruiting more outside of sfla the only thing im worried about is if Taggert doesnt make that mistake. Your right Jimbo is a top 5 recruiterthough. I wonder where taggerts focus will be and what staff he chooses.
 
If Cristobal and Leavitt don't go with Wee Willie to FSU then I don't see how they're even the same. To me they've downgraded.

OP's spot on. It's hilarious seeing FSU fans talk about how recruiting's going to pick up. Jimbo was about as good as they get while also being a decent (not elite like Saban) coach. The FSU brand sells itself. How's ol' Willie in terms of putting a quality staff around him that can develop players? That will be the question at hand.
