In the wait of Stevenson, Jadon and even Neal’s decisions

What player has been the biggest signing surprise in our favor since 2009?

Are Duke and Lingard our highest ranked players signed since 2009?

Biggest overachiever in the last 10 years?

Surprise or biggest at the time was Coley or Tracy Howard.

Highest ranked I believe is either Lo or Arthur Brown.

Btw Neal is not coming to Miami and that’s been clear for awhile.

Biggest overachiever, no clue cause Miami has sucked for all those years so its hard to pinpoint one recruit that was low rated that went on to ball out.

Anthony Chickillo is our highest rated recruit over the past 10 years.

Chad Thomas
Duke Johnson
Lorenzo Lingard
Tracy Howard
Seantrel Henderson (edited to include)

If you extend the discussion to 2008, which was Randy's #1 recruiting class...Arthur Brown and Marcus Forston would be the Top 2 players.

If you extend...Arthur Brown was probably the biggest surprise. Mike Barrow put in some crazy work to develop that relationship. I think people forget about big of a recruit Arthur Brown was. Only four linebackers have been rated higher in the past ten years - two in the same class - Jaylon Smith and Reuben Foster, Jordan Hicks, and Manti Te'o. Thats good company. His senior year at K-State was a glimpse of what he could have been here. Unfortunately, he and his brother are probably two of football's greatest lost potential in that time span. In high school...so good. Unreal potential.

Don’t forget Seantrell Henderson, he was 2010 and our 2nd highest recruit of all time behind DJ Williams.

Hurns overachieved....not sure if he did it more than anyone the past decade but he was ranked #515 in his class overall

Biggest recruit was probably Willie Williams, #3 overall I think....probably more than 10 years ago though.

I'm pretty sure Arthur Brown was higher than Chick.

I think Seantrel Henderson was as well, but he can't count bc technically he signed elsewhere.

Allen Hurns was a great surprise, I think Michael Jackson has been as well, he was one of those three star Al Golden recruiter corners that most had written off

Biggest NSD surprise was Tracy Howard for sure

I also recall LeSean McCoy being a huge 5 star surprise back in 2006. He committed on NSD but wasn’t eligible. Then he ended up at Pitt after time at Milford Academy and the rest is history.
