I’d rather have one sewer that all of these mouth breathers can eat at than read their defecation in a dozen others. This makes it much easier to identify the problem children.

(And save your breath. Simply saying you have a problem with certain aspects of recruiting isn’t something I care about. The sewage-fume inhaling mouth breathers know who they are.)

Maybe because there is something to moan about? Our recruiting is good, but DT is the second most important position on the team, and we have 0 signed. I understand the recruiting season is not over and we look good for Nesta. But we need more than 1. And Nesta hasn't signed yet. There should be some cause for concern. No one is saying Richt & comp suck, but striking out on DT would be a serious **** up. So people are a bit nervous

You guys are soft sometimes. Our recruiting has been lackluster as of late. Yes, we currently have the 5th or 6th best class in the nation, but our '18 class is losing steam. It has been for a while now actually. Anyone saying otherwise is being a homer. Jarren Williams was huge, but he just replaced another guy highly rated that isn't as good as we thought.

Spin it any way you like, call me a mouth breather, I don't really care. Our DT recruiting thus far under Kool has been average at best. Anyone saying otherwise deserves their own thread titled "Canes Tears."

I come hear for information, to laugh, celebrate with Canes when things are good, and bi.tch when they are bad. Right now, some things are bad.

The final stretch of recruiting is coming, you don't have anything to b*tch about at the moment til Dec 30 if we lose the Orange Bowl (we won't) and if we don't sign at least 2 dts Feb 7 (we will). So right now you're just b**ching to b*tch til otherwise. When it does goes as plan, you'll just look like an ***. I hope you keep the same energy when you realize you were b**ching for nothing. Merry Christmas until then!

Actually, the point of my post was more to ask why our guys where thinking of leaving early, if they werent going to be drafted in the first two rounds.

First of all, Merry Christmas to a fellow Cane fan.

Yes, some trends are concerning, such as....

1. We were 1st in '18 recruiting rankings 6 months ago. We are now at #6 .

Is trending down in the recruiting rankings good or bad?

2. The staff didn't prioritize Asante Samuel early in the cycle. He ended up at FSU. We also lost a blue chip recruit to Bama that shall remain nameless. Georgia took another stud DB from our back yard.

Is letting local high 4 star/5 star DB's go to other schools good or bad?

3. Our DT recruiting has been average for awhile now. When was the last time we got a top 100 DT? I'm a huge fan of Jon Ford and Nesta, but we really have zero margin for error with these kids not panning out. If you want to beat FSU and Clemson, then you need some war daddies.

Is it good or bad that our current 2 year haul at DT includes one guy?

4. We lost our last 2 games. I'm ok with the Clemson loss, but not that travesty at Pitt. We don't lose that game with a stud OL no matter how bad Rosier was. So, I freak out a little when we don't land guys like Petit Freire and Barnes.

Is losing your last two games good or bad for recruiting?

I'll try to answer each one of these.... 1) I'm not too concerned with our recruiting ranking bc other teams got players that we weren't after per say. The nameless one is the exception. Our class isn't finished and there is still a good chance it ends in the top 3. 2) I agree that we should have prioritized Samuel, I really wanted him and it was a bad move on our part. I believe we put all our eggs in one basket when it came to the nameless one. Recruiting is like women, never put all your eggs in one basket lol. I believe you are referring to Divaad Wilson as the stud db going to uga? We didn't recruit him bc we believe he is a safety not a corner. I can understand that, but I also see why fans want him. He could be a great safety prospect to replace the nameless one as well. This refers back to question #1 , but there is def ratings bias. Nadeb Joseph is a great talent, committed to bama at one point, but no way should he be ranked higher than Gurvan Hall. Im willing to bet if roles were reversed then Hall would be ranked higher. 3) I truly trust the evals of Coach Kool. I'm not sure any of you are upset about who has signed, but how many have signed. I have a funny feeling we sign Carson and Michael Thompson with Nesta this cycle. I could be wrong and if so then there is reasonable cause for concern. I know we all want to get back to dominance. 4) Our oline play was pathetic final 2 games and I agree with the pitt loss, but even when Rosier had time he was missing. When a qb is completing under 50% of his passes, it puts an immense of amount of pressure on the offensive line and the run game. We improved in our overall body of work as a line, but still a lot of room for improvement. I don't think the 2 losses is hurting our recruiting. Its just when you start 10-0 and drop 2 straight the way we did, its disheartening. I also feel like we wore down as well, just dont quite have the depth. Believe we are addressing that issue. We should see much improvement next season esp in the power run game. I would really like to land one of those 2 as well.
 
We have 20 guys committed with 6 potential spots left. I'm not worried at all. I don't understand some of the scared talk. We have literally 6 weeks to recruit hard and get who we need to take it up a notch. I'm excited 6 more young men who get to challenge themselves. Great time to be a Cane and folks are literally worried to death. Let's have this conversation in down the line.

I was referring to Nadeb Joseph, not Wilson, but we may regret not taking both if we strike out at AH.

I generally am happy with the direction of our program. One could easily counter my previous questions with their own; is having our best season in 15 years good or bad, is winning a recruiting battle with Saban for Hall good or bad, is having our best DT this year (Willis) available next year good or bad, and finally is playing in the ACC's premier bowl tie in good or bad?

Those are all reasons for us as fans to have hope for the future, but that doesn't mean everything is perfect in recruiting right now. We are losing some momentum. Fans are upset about that. There are some valid reasons for concern right now.

Also, just because we exceeded the previous bar of 8/9 win season, doesn't mean we should strive for anything other than a National Championship. We are Miami for Fu:cks sake, let's start demanding/striving for more from our coaches, players, fans, and recruiters. That is all. I just want Miami to really.....be back

Doesn’t trigger me because the basis for concern is factual. What’s absurd are the pico de jones of the world coloring the entire class in DT ink. There is literally one position group I have concerns about our recruiting with, it just so happens to be an incredibly important one.
