First and foremost.. I would have love to add Alex Collins to this recruiting class. I think him and Duke would have been amazing together. He would have gave Miami added depth and another home run threat on Offense. Miami greatest strength on Offense will be there WR's & TE's. With Stephen Morris coming back for his senior year.. I fully expect Al Golden and James Coley to showcase their SR QB. I believe our offense will be more of a spread-pass-first-type of offense. I hope Miami doesnt waste a scholly on any RB other than Collins or Tice. (I'm praying for Cook & Sony next year)

WR's
1. Philip Dorset
2. Al Hurns
3. Rayshwan Scott
4. Herb Waters
5. D'Mauri Jones
6. M Lewis**If healthy
7. Stacey Coley ** If he chooses the U

TE's
1. Clive Walford
2. Asante Cleveland
3. Beau Sandlord **
4. Dyron Dye

RB's (Wish we had Collins but can get by without him)
1. Duke
2. OT
3. Crawford
4. Dillard
5. RL3

We have Duke Johnson and I still have faith in my man OT. Next year we got some elite RB in South Florida.

It matters; but unless he was going to play on the defensive line next year, I'm not sure he would have factored into our W/L record. JMO.

OP it matters a lot. Behind Duke there is nothing but unproven backs. Would like to see Hagens get some carries.

Going to depend on what we do with the offense. If we want to have an elite offense, I don't think we can afford to have the sort of rushing attack we had last year where Duke split carries with James and we had to throw the ball way too much.

We're likely going to have to make Duke the featured back this year. Talking 17-20 carries averaged per game vs the 10 or so he was getting last season. With the other backs getting carries to spell him here and there, unless someone really steps up.

Collins would have given us the option of splitting carries while still getting a lot out of Duke in the return game and as a pass catcher. Now we really need to hope Duke doesn't get injured and probably have to limit his non-rushing touches.

If you don't roll with Miami, you will get rolled over by Miami.

That's my attitude when it comes to recruiting. Don't care about any player that puts on any uniform other than Miami's.

Who is Alex Collins? Not a Cane. Why waste any more keystrokes on him?

I don't follow recruiting. Makes it quite peaceful, I might add.

I do know that if you have scholarship limitations one way to camouflage weaknesses is to load up on premier skill position players. They steal 5% here and 10% there. Make everyone around them look better. Plays that have no business working suddenly explode. I was posting that theme on the USC boards since their sanctions so I'm not going to pretend it doesn't fit here. USC may have collapsed in 2012 but the only reason they were considered viable was Barkley, Woods and Lee.

So I have no idea how we can pretend that Alex Collins doesn't matter, if he's indeed special. In 2013 we look set but 2014 breaks in a new quarterback. At that point you need one bail out option after another.

Bottom line, if we're down in scholarships we're unlikely to stop anyone. That's where you take the hit. I can't see the defense being special until the numbers are fully fortified. That's another theme I posted on the USC boards. They were trying to kid themselves that this defender would improve with maturity, and same with that kid. I don't look at names. I look at what makes sense from a big picture scope. Until the sanctions are gone and we're at 85, we'll need to out score teams. An Alex Collins helps in that regard.

Don't agree if the sanctions are not significant. USC had to play at 75 last season. That is awful. We had to do the same during the 90s probation.

But if we have to play at 82 instead of 85, I think we'll be fine.

While that's true, even if Collins did sign with us, behind Duke there would still be nothing but unproven backs. Collins hasn't done anything yet. There's no reason to believe that Clements or Crawford (or a combination of the two) with experience can't provide the same value that Collins as a freshman would. On paper Collins is awesome and I'd love to see him here. But he's as unproven as Clements/Crawford.

Im over it already, should of known a kid will stay away from his girl so he can do him. If he came here she would def b on it. should of known she knew with all the hate she was spittin at Ark and there fan base. O well we will win without him and hopefully meet in a bowl so Duke can destroy them.

This is not a position of need right now with Crawford, Clements, and Dilliard already behind Duke Johnson. I would love to have Collins but this isn't really a big deal.

Hagens will definitely play a bigger part in our run game next season. Not only because of Coley and how FSU used Pryor, but because we're gonna need a big back for short yardage situations.

I still think Dillard is going to turn some heads this next season. No way this staff picked him up last year just because. They had to have seen something from this kid. If he can pound the rock then him and Duke could be a very nice one two punch.

Again, Collins isn't a Cane so he is nothing to me. He can have fun in Arkansas. Arkansas!!! LOL!!!

I dont think Dillard will do much. hope I'm wrong but I doubt he plays much at all

Duke is an every down back. the key will be how much he develops physically in the off season. I'm expecting a big jump this year after his first legit year of weight and nutrition training

IF duke gets hurt there is a HUGE drop off and having a guy like Collins woulda made that a possible plug and play.

there is no sugar coating the loss of Collins. the guy is an ELITE RB prospect. he has all the physical tools and showed great production in HS.

Could OT be that Mcgee, Davon johnshon and Streeter of this team? Could be he has a chance and i hope he does.

Like it or not we are going to rely on a lot of redshirts to step up this year....regardless of this recruiting cycle. Part of Goldens equation leans on redshirts. We are playing catchup depth wise.
