Re-establishing the Line of Scrimmage

That's one thing that I noticed Virginia's defense doing against our offense. They were re-establishing the line of scrimmage and playing in our backfield. That's why we were so terrible running the ball today. They were the aggressors and took it to our OL.

Watching our defense is so frustrating watching. Watching our DL absorb the OL in their chest and get pushed back 1-3 yards. It's no wonder we're so bad at stopping the run. The running back has 1-2 yards before a hand is laid on him (by the DL getting driven back) and by the time somebody is in position to actually make a tackle he's already gained 4-6 yards.

Our DL today was all seniors and juniors. What does Doritos need to make this work? If he needs all 5-star seniors to make this work then we're toast.

Your complaint is essentially that still we are pushed around by teams late in the year. Has nothing to do with scheme.

penetrating dl not patty cake. Shariff Floyd couldn't 2 gap. 1st round stud with 10 times more talent than anyone on our line.
