One think Mike Jame did last year was (upon many other things such as leadership and character) he gave duke the opportunity to do what he does best... run the ball. It has been painfully obvious (No pun intended) that he is far from a hard nose blocker im just under the assumption Crawford has proven he can fill that role and will keep the explosion of the duke monster for all 4 quarters

I want Duke getting 15-20 carries a game.

Crawford getting 10-15.

Clements getting 5-10.

I know coley is new to play calling but 30 runs are not enough every game we come out trying to be cute and throw a ton we end up needing the run game to bail us out

Duke should get as many carries as he wants, between injuries. Then give the ball to whom ever is 2nd in line.

Crawford definitely earned more carries from here on out and I think he will definitely get them

bran, whoever the RB is he's going to have to pass block sometimes. And if you think Duke's not a hard-nosed blocker re-watch the game and pay attention to him absolutely stoning a blitzer in the A gap on an early pass play. He ran in there at full speed and stood that fool up.

This. Duke blocks like a man, he is a tough, hard nosed guy on top of the talent. It was a freak injury, happens in football.

im not saying he cant block its just finding ways to minimize how often he blocks. he has gotten hurt more this season without the ball then with it

As far as the RB situation, our running game should be our bread and butter. We try to go to the air too much IMHO. I know a lot on this board think our run blocking stinks but we have ran on everyone this year besides UF. We can run the ball productively. I say more of it and let them try to bring more guys in to stop it. Then we beat then in the air.

Duke's injuries from blocking aren't exactly to his shoulder or because of his size. Basically anyone who gets knee'd in the head will have a chance of getting hsi bell rung. Now, you may say he has to go low more often because of his size, but there are dozens of RBs in the NFL who pull off that block every week. Frank Gore is one of the best at it. Duke's just had ****** luck twice with it. It's football and that's that.

I want to see Mo get a few carries every game. Especially in short yardage situations.

I feel like they're saving this. They have to be, right? I mean, each time he's touched the ball, he rumbled for like 5 yards.
