So we have 3 healthy scholarship RBs for spring football, is this correct?

Dallas, Gus and Tucker.

Reading that makes my balls hurt but I do think Gus could surprise us this year. This is where it would be helpful to have a bonafide RB coach on the staff instead of a collection of recruiters coaching positions they never played. For the record I am a fan of Hurlie Brown as a recruiter, just not as a RB coach.

Hurlie is doing well....I think he out did barrow...

I understand Goldens fails...but Barrow not getting elite Lb or DT from our back yard tells me maybe he is pushing the religion, get your mind and soul in the right spot young man speech to recruits I hear about...no excuses for him to be missing on players...the guy is NFl, CFB SHIPS, South FL,....Cmon

I have no issues at all with Hurlie as a recruiter. My point is that I think a player like Gus would really benefit from having a legitimate RB coach to help develop him.

It isn't necessary to play a position in order to be a good coach at that position.

Fair enough, but we don't really know how good Hurlie is as a RB coach and I think we can all agree that Gus has some good raw tools but he runs too vertically.

I think it is safe to say the jury is still out on Hurlie

We desperately need Duke and Yearby 100% by Fall camp, and getting Gray in would also help.

They will be fine...and even pampered in the Fall...look for both of them to be in Great football shape when the ACC comes a calling we have 5 important games

Vt
UNC
GT
FSU
Duke...

all games are important but those have to be won

Move Hurlie Brown to defensive back coach where he belongs and bring back Don Soldinger to coach and recruit runningbacks it's a no brainer!!!

this could be a blessing for Gus and Crawford. They will get the most of the carries and they probably need them more than Duke and yearby, both are natural runners.

If u are halfway athletic RB is the easiest transition levelto level in football. 90 percent instinct

Just bc he coached some past studs doesn't mean he is a great coach. I'm sure he is but Portis, Mcgahee, Gore and Davenport would have made it to the league from any school.

I can't stand people living in the past around here. The world has changed and if we don't adapt other schools will and it has shown. I still believe in Golden as the head honcho. Our D is a major issue that I hope get fixed. That honestly is my only problem with him right NOW.

I think we will see some improvements and start handling teams we should handle and be much more competitive/beat a couple teams we will be underdogs too which hasn't happened in his tenure so far.
