I would totally agree with you that you must catch the ball and secure it first. With that being said Ray Ray is a very timid punt returner. Please the replays and watch how many times he failed to catch the ball and proceeded to watch the ball bounce backwards 10-15 yards. The kid has very poor technique and lets the ball play him. I would NOT put him back there next year. Chris Johnson was plating against smaller and slower athletes in HS. He showed ZERO moves and elusiveness.
