Does anyone have any insight on his injury? UM ruled him out for season on the newest depth chart, huge blow in my opinion.

Haven't seen anything from an authoritative source, but supposedly some kind of nagging back problem which requires surgery.

Take it from a guy who's had a back problem for a LONG time.....there is no toughing it out. You can get by for a while but eventually it catches up with you, and when it does, it's debilitating. I wouldn't recommend surgery unless rest/therapy/injections don't work, but sometimes it's the only option.

Definitely gone for the year if that's the case. especially for what he has to do at his position.

Get him the shirt, felt he needed a year to develop a bit more too.

Feel it's a blessing in disguise. Carter will get the snaps that Jenkins was gonna get this year, so Carter will get even more experience as well as the freshman. Even though Carter was gonna get a lot of snaps to begin with, it increased now. But I feel we will be relying heavy on Deon, Dallas and Jamal, until we can get a solid 4th in rotation between Hester and Gayot. We will be more experienced next year at the position with this injury to Rayshawn too, Thank god for our depth at that position now.

I feel too. That if one of Deon or Dallas really take off this year, one might leave early. Dallas I believe is getting his degree this year too. Especially an actual healthy Deon, with the right production and his athleticism. Could see Deon and Tracy leave early from our secondary with a great year. I feel Dallas to be one of those guys who really stick it out till their final year.

Deon and Dallas they still got Carter breathing down their necks, just an injury away from Carter stealing their spot. Carter doesn't have the same experience as them yet but he is the freakish athlete of all the safeties. And he is going to get a crap load of snaps, he's talented as ****. Carter might not start right away due to experience but he's definitely gonna challenge them and make them even better with competition, and he will definitely get same amount of snaps as them.

Don't think he will be coming back.

If it's a herniated disk. Jenkins could become possibly paralyzed if he is hit hard enough or is injured in that area I'm guessing on the extent of the injury. This injury messes with your vertebrae and surrounding areas of the back. Imo it might be too risky to play again.... He certainly could come back but who knows at this point is my guess.

That's serious ****. Might be what Pete was actually referring to.

Pete.... Any insight? Staff expects him back for next year or is he done? I remember hearing Tracy didn't even expect Rayshawn to play this year, he was shocked even seeing Rayshawn suit up.

Ima miss seeing rayshawn out there this year, I always thought he was a solid player for us. Hope he makes a sucessful recovery.

i have had level 2 fusion surgery. disk was pushing on my spine and caused loss of strength and numbing. only option is/was surgery. if he has fusion surgery, he is done for his career. manning had it, but, he isn't tackling like a safety would.
