Anybody think Ray would want to lead the turn around at the U as d coordinator? He certainly has the knowledge of defense and the fire to coach. Maybe even get Ed Reed or mike rumph to coach the secondary?

What young defensive studs wouldn't want to come play for coach ray Lewis? The recruiting impact would touch both coast.

Lol yea your probably right dead poets. He probably doesn't know how to lead a defensive or get the best out of players. He didn't lead one of the best defenses ever in the nfl. He didn't play mental chess with Peyton manning who said everytime he would audible that ray would audible the defense to the right position. He wouldn't know how to stop opposing teams by implementing an aggressive defense using big dt to free up line backers like goose did for him. He wouldn't have 5 star defensive players Alabama gets speechless when he's sitting in their living room. Your right he just doesn't have the experience leading a defense.... Gtfoh
Oh and his son will be a red shirt freshman next year. Na Ray isn't an upgrade at all.

Stop with high school bullshyt. Ray Lewis should get a job as a high school coach first.....like ******* Steve Walsh is doing to cut his teeth as an administrator, teacher and a coach before he moves up the ladder.

I love Ray with all my heart.... But statistics show Peyton destroyed the Ravens like most of the NFL ray just got the last word... Peyton is a all time 9-2 vs the ravens... Ray was playing tonk while peyton was playing Grand theft auto and slaughtered Ray and the gang....

With that being said.... Pack your **** up and gtfo with that bull$hit

Still don't understand why an NFL team just hasn't gone out and made this happen:

HC: Joe Montana
OC: Steve Young
RB: Barry Sanders
WR: Jerry Rice
TE: Tony Gonzalez (player/coach)
OL: Jonathon Ogden

DC: Ray Lewis
DL: Bruce Smith
LB: Mike Singletary
CB: Barry Sanders

ST: Don Beebe

That team clearly would never lose. Former greats always make the best coaches.

Clearly, you want to work Barry Sanders to death.

Not all good players are good coaches, it takes a student of the game. Ed Reed would be a better coach. All ravens player admited he was the true heart and soul of the team, Ray was just the flash. Plus Ed reed is more a student of the game.

People never appreciate how amazing an "NFL analyst" gig is. They make great money. They work a few days a week. There is not much stress. They remain relevant.

Not saying Ray Lewis wouldn't choose coaching over sitting at home, but i highly doubt he'll choose it over his current job.

I'm going to try to be nice about this, but you sure are making it difficult. Organizing an entire defense takes a completely different skill set than what it takes to be an on-field leader of a defense. If your theory is correct, then why are all of the top coaches in every sport a bunch of guys who really had very little success as players?
