How would you guys rank the pure athletic ability. Guys who you think would be able to play multiple positions on either side of the ball. Should be a good look at the athletes we have at this point and haven't had in a while. Let's say top 10

I'd go

Duke
Coley
Burns
Gray
Elder
Waters
Carter
Bush
B Crawford
Yearby

Had to put Gray up there already, just have a feeling about him

I think in terms of athletic ability and SKILL SET that Duke could play RB, WR, CB or Safety.

Coley could play WR, CB and Safety. Waters could probably do the same.

However, one of the most important deciding factors whether a guy plays defense or offense is MENTALITY. There's a lot of guys who have the athleticism to play defense but they aren't defensive minded. (i.e. aggressive, savvy, etc) You look at a guy like Gray, and yeah he looks like he could play LB, but does he have the mind frame or the intelligence? (I don't know personally, I'm just using him as an example)

Guys like Crawford and Duke can easily play both ways because not only are they smart but they're also physical.

I'd put Elder near the top. The kid is as fluid as it gets athletically. He is a phenomenal 2 sport player - that alone puts him near the top.

I'd also put Yearby up a bit (over Waters, Carter, Bush, Crawford).

Off athletic ability alone, Gray and definitely Yearby aren't in the top ten as the OP has it. Bush is higher, also Chad Thomas and D Jackson belong on that list. I might also replace Waters with Owens. Think Owens is a beast. Then there are kids like Njoku or Brady that got to be up there.

I'm interested in why you think Brady would be more athletic than Yearby. Yearby like Brady doesn't have top end speed but possesses some of the quickest feet and change of direction we've seen in a while. I'll never forget him running those routes at the Fsu camp, nearly uncoverable. Body control and fast twitch are huge aspects of athleticism.

I said Yearby was outside the top ten as was Gray, I replaced them with Chad Thomas and D Jackson. Nowhere did I say Brady would be ahead of Yearby. I think they are in that same group outside the top ten.
