Of Duke, Cook, Sony, Yearby, Scarlett, Cronkite, Walton, Williams?

Who's the best in terms of pure talent and how would you rank the rest?

I'm thinking...

1 - Sony
2 - Duke
2a - Cook
3 - Scarlett
4 - Yearby
5 - Williams
6 - Conkrite
7 - Walton

TBD, but if performance on the college level means anything, it's Duke all the way.

Considering not a single one of those guys have played a snap in college football yet.

Duke #1

2. Everyone else.

Duke is the best back right now. The one with the highest ceiling in my opinion is jordan scarlett. You dont see many 5'11 210 pound running backs running a 4.3 40 before their senior year in highschool. He has had limited carries at USCHOOL and will only progress more as he becomes the focal point of the rushing attack at saint thomas aquinas.

way to early…. but why not?
1 - Duke
2 - Yearby
2 - Sony
3 - Scarlett
4 - Cook
5 - Walton
6 - Williams
7 - Conkrite

Duke #1.

The rest no rank. Scarlett has highest ceiling due to fact he's 5'11" 210 running legit 4.3s

How can anyone rank anyone over Duke?

He literally carried his team on his back to a state title game, scored all 5 TD's in the state title game iirc.

He has speed, cutting ability, patience, vision, balance, great stiff arm, can catch, and plays bigger than he is.

If he wanted to he could be a nasty CB too.

He has a huge heart, and has that dog in him.

I couldn't take anyone over Duke.

That's a talented list though all good players.

because they are projecting them to be better? It's not that difficult a concept.

It's a fans POV and it ends there.

You could look back through the years of these forums concerning talent evals and just crack yourself up. I am not excluding myself from that statement either.

Not counting Duke, because he is already on the college level and has shown success. Although i don't feel we have seen his best. Out of the 7 guys yet to take a snap on the next level. I don't see it being to far fetched. Seeing only 2 of those names having success. Too many things can happen. That most the dudes never live up to what we think.

How many times have you glanced at the recruiting board and guys are jizzing all over themselves about recruits our a certain class. Years down the road. That guy never see's the light of day. Our almost that entire class never amounts to anything.

The odds of landing another backfield like the Portis, Willis and Gore days are low. Guys will transfer our get hurt. Our some young buck comes in when the top upperclassman leaves and steals the rug out from under other dudes who have waited. The great season Willis had almost never happened. Gore doesn't go down and we never see that.

In 2004 we brought in 3 top RB recruits. Andrew Johnson, Charlie Jones and Bobby Washington. Nothing ever came of those dudes. One never enrolled. One transferred after injuries to Akron and the Jones was mediocre.

Listed below are the top backs from 2010, 2011 and 2012. 31 backs in total and 13 of those were 5 stars. Yet if you look below at the 2010 and 2011 classes they are extremely underwhelming. Tons of misses and wasted talent to go around for whatever reason. The 2012 class of backs shows promice, but these guys are just going into year three and 3 of those guys have dealt with some injuries. I know if we turn back the hands of time. Plenty of dudes wanted many of the guys listed below and they 2 were projected to do great things.
