To answer the current question: No one knows which offers are commitable except the coaching staff and "maybe" the kid with the offer. This is not an uncommon occurance. Teams will offer their plan B kids with the understanding that its not a commitable offer until a point in the future. This is how the game is played at the highest level.
This was something that Coker or Randy never seemed to understand. They would spend 90+% of the recruiting season chasing their Plan A kids, then when they'd strike out, they were always late to the party on the plan B kids. Pay attention to how coach Golden is doing it. THIS is how its done.
