Raising Canes - Dallas Crawford

Crawford will carve out a nice career here as a "can do everything" type player. His reps will most likely decline on offense next year, but he is still a valuable piece on Special Teams. Could end up playing safety if Miami continues to be thin there. He would be a great 3rd back to have though - has a nose for red zone TDs.

Seems like a good kid and the role he has played for us so far is easy to overlook

Reminds me a bit of Damien Berry. Guy who did not have a clear position, consistently performed well on special teams enough to carve himself out a niche role. I don't think he'll ever have as successful of a season running the ball as Berry did in 2010, especially because our backfield talent looks to be on the upswing. But Crawford should still see the field in a variety of roles moving forward.

A local young man I have had the fortune to get to meet a few times....he loves his coaches and Miami...

Complete team player and he runs hard every play. I really hope he can fully develop into a good player and get in to the league. He has qualities about him you'd wish all you're players had.

Sure does and some smart NFL team will pick him up because he can fill so many roles.

Great story... Super humble kid... He is a good role model for others!

I'm glad he is a Miami Hurricane!!!

Everyone who says his role will be decreased next year doesn't know how Dallas operates. This guy will out work anyone and will increase his production.
