Two well-coached teams last night with a lot of talent.

-two best players on the field IMO were Jordan Scarlett and Skai Moore. Scarlett is a glider, he makes it look easy. He is a 5-star talent no doubt in my mind. Moore had a great night. He was always around the ball and plays viciously. I would take a hard look at him if I was Miami. He is very fluid in coverage as well.

-Bain did not play any defense, only played RT, where he actually looked pretty good. His future might be on that side of the ball.

-Jordan Cunningham didn't do anything to change my opinion on him that he isn't explosive enough for Miami. He made a nice TD catch over FSU commit Adrian Baker, but was a non-factor the rest of the game. Good hands and boy control, he just doesn't bring anything different to the table to what Miami has now at receiver.

-There were 2 prospects I was intrigued about seeing and that was Joe Jones and Khairi Clark. I left the game hoping to see a little more from both. Clark is a WIDE boy and can definitely move, but there is some bad weight on him and you can tell because he only played about half the snaps on defense which was a concern to me. I like how he was getting off the ball though.

-with Jones, I liked what I saw, but I don't see Miami-caliber. He has a very good frame and played a lot in all three phases of the game. He had a sack near the end of the game, but I was hoping to see a little more disruptiveness from him.

I echo your thoughts, Peter.

Skai Moore was the best defensive player on either team, but I worry about his growth potential. It's one thing to be undersized in high school, but his lower-body is thin and he's just a small guy. Tremendous player though.

I like Chaminade's quarterback. Not big enough for UM but definitely a good, tough player.

It's incredible how many elite, five-star type backs come through South Florida. In 2012, it was Duke. In 2013, it's Collins. Next year it's Sony and the year after that will be Jordan Scarlett. The guy is a full-grown man as a sophomore and cuts effortlessly. The only weakness I see is an upright running style, but what a talent.

Great seeing Cans4Life and courcy75 out there as well.

Always an education when you spend time with the Coach.

How big is Scarlett? Wasn't overly impressed when I saw him on TV early this season, but after the rave reviews I need to take another look.

Chaminade qb was very impressive. He is supposed to be over 6'2". If true, i love his decision making and would take a hard look at him next year.

Scarlett looked really good as well. His running style reminds me a lot of James Jackson. Similar frame and cutting skills. Jackson has better top end speed though.

Dalvin Cook? Jaquan Johnson?

I said it in the Sony Michel highlight thread, Scarlett >>>>>>>Michel.

Scarlett is not to far behind Collins, IMO.

You think? He looked shorter than that to me.

Also, now way in H*ll Jordan Cunningham is 6'3, wayyyy closer to 6'1.

Clark is massive. He's 6'3 310 at least. The thing that excited me the most was his second gear. When they needed a big he made his presence felt. Bain would come in on some passing downs but didnt make a mark. A couple of the plays he just stood straight up.

I agree with Cunningham being closer to 6'1" than 6'3".

After watching those highlights, i must say that Scarlett (#1) is a beast among boys.. Great power, balance and cutting .. He tored that **** up in week 1 vs that Ohio team. Does somebody knows his stats for the year?
By the way Pete or D$, what number is Skai Moore?

With all of these beastly RBs potentially coming to Miami, I hope Fisch utilizes more power running formations to take full advantage.

Still a work in progress.

Jaquan Johnson?

Safety ALL DAY!

I'm sure he is talented enough to play RB at the next level (so was Sean Taylor), but he is nasty at Safety - 5 star IMO

How big is Skai Moore? Everyone lists him at 6'3 195. If so it would seem like he would be able to put on the weight to play LB in college.

I swear, that DJ Taylor looks a lot like Travis Benjamin when he's running with the ball. Not sure if hes as talented, but he does remind me of TB3
