I notice we have six "3 stars" and a couple with no stars to go along with a couple of "4 stars" currently committed. A Gator friend asked me about this and was actually trying to poke me about the number of 3 stars. My question, are these early rankings? Are these kids likely to move up as we get deeper into this years recruiting cycle or is it just it is what it is?

Some of them are probably going to be dropped. Guys like Marcus Crowley, Cameron Williams, and Jessiah Pierre are probably going to rise because their class is now in the spotlight especially Crowley. He plays in one of the toughest divisions in the state if I’m not mistaken.

At this juncture last year a lot of our current stud signees were 3 stars. Guys like Nesta, Gurvan Hall, Scaife, Frierson, Rousseau, etc.

Rankings a bit of a crap shoot right now. This happens every year. I’m positive guys like Crowley, Cam, Jesiah, Renato and Daxon will rise up.

I actually think Daxon has potential to be a 5* when it’s all said and done.
I Said a few weeks back that Daxon and Renato Brown were big time

Frierson and hall were already 4 stars. Scaife, Silvera and rousseau however wasn’t

The main reason is that the '19 recruiting list is still in its infancy - very early in the recruiting cycle.

Also keep in mind that it isn't our coaches who are making these lists.

I wouldn't be upset with early commits at RB, WR or DL with few stars because I trust the evaluations of Brown, Dugans and Kuligowski far more than the rest of the staff at this point.

Oh, not upset at all. I fully realize the coaches all know a **** of a lot more about these kids than I do. I figured they would probably all go up in their star rankings in the coming year, but wasn't sure if that was how it works.

Ask him where the gator class is ranked right now and let’s see who’s ranked higher at the end of the ‘19 signing.

My first question is “ why do you HAVE a UFAG friend....

Dude is like my little brother. He did have an FSU girlfriend who took him to an FSU Miami game several years ago and up into the Golden Chiefs suites or whatever they call them up there. He wore his full gator gear and rooted hard for Miami the whole game, so he has that going for him. <g>

Just remind him that the Gators went 4-7 last year
