Question about Shalala not caring about the football program

If she hates the football program so badly, why would she fight the NCAA so hard during the investigation?


I don't have a side in the Shalala argument, but it doesn't add up to me folks. If she hated the progrum so bad, she'd have let us get raped, no?

Difference between caring about being an elite football program and caring about not letting your football program disgrace the entire University.
 
I don't think she doesn't care. I just think she buys Golden's used car salesman pitch.
 
She doesnt hate the program. She wants to win enough to keep the program in the lights. But she wants a clean program, keep us out of the media blobs. As long as we win 8-9 games a year and the kids are doing community service and staying out of the media blobs, she good/we up. If you are good with that and staying in that abortion of a stadium we call "home", you have the program you desire.

I am at the breaking point.

Lol...I'm not saying this is the program I want...in fact this **** is ruining my life. But I just don't get the Shalala don't want us to win argument. And Joe Robbie Stadium is an absolute disgrace. Last night at that old Citrus Bowl was ******* fantastic and felt like the old days.
 
Bc it costs people (the rest of the ACC) money when you lose bowl games and can't play in ACCGs. Bc she has a responsibility to ensure the program doesn't get cancelled.

But when it comes to caring about how successful the program is, that is not a priority. Success is to her is a high grad rate, good grades, and good behavior. It's Wisconsin south.

And bc she flashes the U and shows up to games she has fans fooled into thinking she wants us to be "The U". Give me the apathetic Tad Foote without absurd unrealistic regular students demands on ballers.

I lean this way.

In her perfect world, she'll have the Barry Alvarez and Bret Bielema types of the world that are good for 9 wins every year while running a clean program and keeping their noses clean.

Which is pretty much what she has in Al Golden, so I don't see her getting rid of this guy any time soon.
