Question about Scholarship Reduction

Ok on Canesport Golden said he is already factoring scholarship reductions into this years class.

Now if we take away 3-5 scholarships for this years class does that mean that we can take 3-5 more recruits in next years class or do those 3-5 scholarships just disappear?

Well, I think there are two types of scholarship restrictions that may be at play. One is the total number of scholarships we can give in a year. The other would be the total amount of players we may have on scholarship during a particular year. I think they work in tandem.

It means they disappear. So say we impose 5 for this year, then our total given out should go down from 85 to 80.

Yes. We didnt self impose scholarship bans (which would be ridiculous before LoA), but we reduced our numbers in preparation. I am sure the University will use that deduction when pleading their case for reduced sanctions.
