Question about pulling offers

Hypothetically, if we have 2 spots and 3 superstars commit, how does Golden handle that situation? Is it gonzo for a guy still taking trips? What if they commit on signing day? I say this because obviously it appears our big targets are Avery and Howard. If we have two spots, and this 5-star athlete who is travling down here with his grandfather wants to come here, and now with Schiano leaving, the Hamilton kid commits, what does Golden do?

saban is famous for this. You get as many big time kids as you can and deal with it later...I don't care if you are 8 over the limit, there are ways...whether it's pulling ships, grey shirting, kids not getting in due to academics or whetver has to happen. All that stuff just needs to get started out by the summer.

I can see a kid that was told to enroll early and didn't make it in being asked to greyshirt. Some offers are conditional on making it in for the Spring.

I think you sign over your limit. You will see some kids fall for academic reasons before they enroll. If everyone qualifies you ask them to greyshirt or you give them your release.

I do not remember ever revoking a scholarship offer after a LOI has been signed. Everyone who has made it in for the spring is already in. There really are only a finite amount of scholarships that can be given out. I can't imagine dumping a kid that has been committed for a several months and signed a LOI because we got someone better.
