Given that Ole Miss, aTm, and Alabama all lost to $EC teams, how much will those quality losses propel them in the polls?

Herbstreit already tweeting out that 5 loss Billy Napier should get national coach of the year. They all move up two spots, Florida passes them all, Oklahoma cracks the top 25, Indiana drops to 18.
Lets take a look at who exactly they've lost to:Given that Ole Miss, aTm, and Alabama all lost to $EC teams, how much will those quality losses propel them in the polls?
A&M would be 8-4 if they lose to Texas.Lets take a look at who exactly they've lost to:
Alabama 8-3 (4-3)
Ole Miss 8-3 (4-3)
- Vandy 6-5 (3-4
- Tennessee 9-2 (5-2)
- Oklahoma 6-5( 2-5)
Texas A&M
- Florida 6-5 (4-4)
- LSU 7-4 (4-3)
- Kentucky 4-7 (1-7)
A&M has legitimately "good losses" to ND and SCAR. The Auburn loss is a bad one, but it was a 4OT game to the wire. Alabama has two bad losses in Vandy and Oklahoma, especially with OU. They got spanked. Ole Miss has the worst of the bunch, with losses to straight up mid to terrible SEC teams.
- Notre Dame 10-1
- SCAR 8-3 (5-3)
- Auburn 5-6 (2-5)
As long as A&M keeps it very close with Texas I think they're the 9-3 SEC team that ends up getting in, on account of losing (in this scenario) to two Top 10 teams in close games. Will also help them if SCAR beats Clemson. I don't see any scenario where Ole Miss or Bama get in.
Ah good catch. In that case they’d be out. SCAR would be next up then if they beat Clemson. They genuinely have only “good losses.” Even LSU isn’t that bad of one.A&M would be 8-4 if they lose to Texas.
If Clemson beats SC though..? Playoff **** could break loose.Ah good catch. In that case they’d be out. SCAR would be next up then if they beat Clemson. They genuinely have only “good losses.” Even LSU isn’t that bad of one.
From the board that celebrated almost wins a season ago, I'd think everyone here would be a bit less unhinged about the rankingsThere is no such thing as a quality loss in the sec.
They only have quality non-wins.
In a scenario where Clemson beats SCAR, we win out, and SMU losses close, the ACC could get 3 teams in. Still don’t think it’ll happen like that but the way I look at it (not in order of seeding or rank I’m just numbering the teams)If Clemson beats SC though..? Playoff **** could break loose.
While I don’t really disagree with what you’re saying, I think you’re missing the point I was making - it’s awfully silly to classify losses as some sort of way to outrank teams with fewer losses simply as a narrative the $EC pushes to justify their greed. In a scenario where Clemson beats SCAR, we win out, and SMU losses close, the ACC could get 3 teams in. SCAR wins and they’re in. A&M wins and they’re in. But if they both lose, Clemson and SMU may get those last two spots. Only 9-3 SEC left with an argument would be Bama, and they have two horrible losses on their schedule.
I don’t care if you’re playing the 01 Canes, you get beat 44-20 it’s not a “good loss”Texas A&M

By “good losses” you mean they have lost to every good team they’ve played. They’re the Indiana of the SECAh good catch. In that case they’d be out. SCAR would be next up then if they beat Clemson. They genuinely have only “good losses.” Even LSU isn’t that bad of one.
