Looking at the bigger picture, I think the problem with this program goes beyond Golden. Look at the other sports for an example. I appreciate how Donna and company handled the NCAA mess but why do we continue to make bad hires.

Seems like every decision dealing with Atheletics is made with a scary conservative approach hence the reason we keep getting the same type coaches over and over.

Ok I do like Jim but he was a safe hire. That Doesn't mean he wasnt a good hire. But we always go after the safe hire.

You're right, he's not. But, if we had the money to throw at a Saban or Meyer, do you think Shalala would do it? Probably not.

Golden was actually the riskiest out of the three.
