All,
I'll be having an exclusive private Zoom chat tonight (Tuesday) at 8 pm for members of Canes Connection, the official NIL collective of Miami Athletics. I'll answer questions on practice, the Portal and recruiting. This will include information I cannot share on a public forum. I will also answer your questions. As you can imagine given the partner, this will be the most direct and "inside" information available anywhere in the Canes world.

Canes Connection members should be receiving an email link to register to the Webinar. If you haven't signed up yet, click the link below and pick a plan. When you enter promo code “CIS” in the blue link titled “Add promotion Code” (right under “Subtotal”) you get 20% off your first month Canes Connection subscription.

Please consider being part of the solution and supporting Canes Connection. This is the most direct way to improve the program we love so much. If we all do our part, nobody will be able to stop our talent acquisition machine. Let's get #6.

I think you're doing a good job on these, I've been on every one so far. Seems to have been pretty effective in terms of folks not spilling information over onto the boards, so the value is there for sure. Appreciate all the hard work you're doing to make this site an addiction but one that's a bit healthier than most. LOL.

I'll sign up.

What would it take the Canes Connection to file a class action lawsuit on behalf of all current and former players in cfb who went undrafted and were barred from returning to college and having:

1. More NIL opportunities
2. Chance to improve draft stock by returning
3. An ability to complete their education

BTW #3 is the biggest indictment of all- countless kids from historically underrepresented groups have needed scholarships to afford college, and simply by filling out a job application (which is basically what "declaring" for the draft means), they are required to permanently give up their scholarships and never earn their degrees. It's insane.

I'm sure the collective has plenty of lawyers familiar with class actions, just need some plaintiffs. I said it another thread , the fact that the NCAA allows basketball players who are undrafted to return to college (for all 3 reasons listed above) but doesn't allow football players to do the same tells me the NCAA doesn't have the slightest chance of winning the case and it would almost certainly try to settle ((thanks to @TRick72 for pointing out this hypocrisy). There is no justification for the double standard. Win the lawsuit, take a % of the hundreds of millions in damages that would get awarded or given in the settlement, and then the collective has virtually infinite money to give to players for NIL and get us #6. At the very least, the collective would get a **** of a lot of good national publicity.

Do y'all do ASMR?

Yes.
