It's no surprise that Southridge Safety Jamal Carter has been a Miami lean for a while, and tomorrow at 3 o'clock he will officially make his decision. While it may not have the drama that LeBron's had, but his addition to the Miami secondary may be equally as exciting for 'Canes fans.

Carter is an absolutely dynamic athlete on the field, as seen in his highlights. He is great with the ball in his hands, has incredible explosiveness for his size, and plays physically. While he is rough around the edges at the safety position, he definitely has the ability to develop into a great one.

He is expected to pick the 'Canes, but the battle won't be completely over if he does so. There are some possible grades concerns so watch out for a school like Louisville, but if his grades are good-to-go, there is no doubt he will stick.

Overall, this would be a great pick-up by Golden and staff, as they continue to pull in top level South Florida talent throughout the NCAA investigation.

**We will be live from Southridge tomorrow with updates**

Here are Carter's highlights **Note: There aren't many plays of him at safety**

Can be dangerous on offense... Golden knows something... Reminds me of Crawford from Ft. Myers a lil bit..

golden putting in work
Just imagine if there was no cloud of uncertainty over the program
We woukd be positioned for a title run in year 3

Why is there always a freakin' asterisk or but around these elite kids? Burns commits, but will take visits and LSU is his dream school; Carter probably pops, but there may be grade concerns. It'd be nice for once to just get a few of these big timers who have their **** completely together.

Well, we got Duke last year and Olsen now, which is pretty good I guess...

I feel you on that man, but thats part of what comes with having a top 50 ACADEMIC university, kids gotta have a little something upstairs. The SEC school, minus Vandy, could pluck any kid from anywhere and get them on the field. Gotta have standards.

The kids like Duke and Olsen are rare; totally committed and locked in, with NO academic concerns.....

How does Carter compare with the previous DB's from Southridge that were cane targets?
Carter is more athletically gifted than Andrew Johnson and Gerod Holiman. Johnson was a corner with good cover skills and Holliman is more of a ball hawk type. Carter has more upside than those two
