Not who it will be but when they will be announced?

I would like to think we will know by next Tuesday so that is my prediction. I hope they don't keep it close to the vest and let the two know only a couple days before. I also predict they will both play no matter who starts.

They were trying to announce it today but SMD kept interrupting to ask about the punters.

LOL at how the depth chart for the whole team has been paralyzed by this situation, Al's just dumb like that, I think training camp last year there was a depth chart every week, and definitely after every scimmage

The moment Golden stated during an interview that he was grateful heaps chose miami......It's similar to browns situations Def Coaches will always go with experience over potential(best game manager)

I'm pretty sure the players get updated depth charts after every practice, we just don't, relax. Remember they have a board with the top performers that they adjust after every practice, players know their pecking order

Is there a benefit to publicly naming the starter? Wouldn't it be beneficial to keep Louisville guessing?

It will be announce on Sunday. That is when the Canes will start preparing for Louisville.

I don't understand the need to know everything. Jameis Winston wasn't name the starter until August 23, and Alabama want name the starter until maybe this weekend or Monday at the latest.

This happens all the time in MAJOR college football. Al Golden and James Coley are not doing anything unusual.

Fans need to know, so they can either get excited, or tell all of us how dumb the coaches are. Basically they are ready to have a 20 page discussion on the decision.

It was a depth chart every week because Miami had a starter coming into fall camp. Why would have a depth chart if players are still fighting for positions?

we did last year, and regardless of how irrelevant it may be for some, I like it, and its obvious that Al is out smarting everyone once again including himself

I wouldn't announce jack sh8t until gametime at UL.

The potential differences with these two guys is too wide.

Tell UL that its Kaaya, and they will do EVERYTHING to blitz the f*ck out of him and rattle the **** out of the True Frosh, try to make his life a living **** and knock him silly. That will be their gameplan. Tell them its Heaps, and they are facing a 5th year Senior, so its a 180 degree different strategy.

Why tip your hand at all and let UL gameplan for it. Keep it quiet, tell the team, practice it, but don't make an official announcement til the day before or day of the game.

Completely agree with you! No need to let anyone know besides the team.
