35 years of being a Cane fan, don't come to me and say there is a post open on this discussion. When something is wrong and you feel you are right you should always make the first move those who sit and wait on other people decisions could come back to haunt you. I feel like Donna must feel that she is in a good position because she has not showed her power. I all along have said to swing away. I think this was the perfect time to take down the NCAA. If you let the NCAA get the first jump on this next move, they will make sure they cross all their T's and dot their I's. I have always, always, always said to bring the hammer. So far what she has showed me is a lot of talk. A lot of you fans say that she has to go through the process, have the NCAA followed their end of the process fairly. If they come out and stroke us then I think we are in a world of crap. My point is do what ya gotta do if they hammer us as probation and scholarship losses I think Golden will go. He is not going to wait for three or four more years for this appeals process to be over. I believe that the NCAA is going to do us right, I know they are crooked and yes, I also predicted in the late 80's-early 90's that Joe Pa would go down in flames. The media was just stupid and did not see his lying ways. No I didn't predict it would be over children. Joe Pa was a crook and I watched him very closely because I was tired of hearing all the bad stuff about the Canes and Joe Pa was a saint. I believe 100% we are not gonna be getting any more punishment, 95% like I've said the case could be dropped. If U don't believe me on Joe Pa, call Bohlke Veneer Fairfield ohio and ask for Bruce Brinker, Mark Brown , Gary McFarland. If they stroke us blame Donna for laying back and letting them hammer.....CANES 4 - ever.....Another thing Ed Reed was so much better than Shawn Taylor, NOT EVEN CLOSE, Ed Reed was a leader.......peace

I think many of us feel your pain. That said, I suggest chilling out an letting the process play out. My understanding is that much of what you suggest that UM do, is actually occurring behind the scenes. I cannot give you something that would be considered iron-clad proof, but I will say that you should review the activities around the time when Donna released the statement requesting that the NCAA put an end to the case. When the NCAA declined, there was a noted meeting of a bajillion lawyers from around the country at UM. From that moment on, UM has been publicly mum. Stop and think about that for a moment. Do you really think that a woman with Donna Shalala's resume is going to be sitting back and waiting for the NCAA's moves???
