This probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. There has never been a more critical season for us to put together a big season than 2016. There hasn't been a better time to over achieve than this year. We have a lot of momentum right now; the potential for a program resurrecting class is palpable. But if we want to close on the ELITE kids that we are after, we have to win this fall! Want JJ catching TD passes in the ACC? Beat FSU. Want Leatherwood breaking dudes faces at LT? Go beat Notre Dame. If we can turn this momentum and potential into actuality, ***** about to get tooooo real in CFB!

Agree 100%. We have NFL QB and a coach who can use him. No reason for Mark to not beat noles this year and light the fires. Taking down ND would would be shot heard around the world. Kool turning the big dogs loose will trigger all the memory cells. We need our alums back on the sideline at games to seal the deal.

Agreed. We need a big year. If we can win 10, we are good. If we can win beat FSU and ND???? We are hoisting the ship in 3 years, tops!

Agree with your comment, but the subject line sounds super Golden-y.

looking forward to a great year. that being said georgia lost 4 games the year before richt arrived and in his first year. clearly i expect us to do better but only by a game or two. don't have unrealistic expectations.

If we beat F$U & ND, we'd go undefeated in the regular season. Those are huge "ifs" though. I feel if we beat them, we'd have a good shot against Clemson in the ACC championship and if we beat them, we're obviously in the college playoffs. I feel we have the QB and DL to beat F$U, Clemson, and ND..... However, our CBs and OL are in rough shape. WRs outside of Coley(who can't stay healthy) & Berrios will be young and inexperienced. Same goes with the LBs outside of Grace. We're likely losing Young so we lose depth there. I expect Shaq, Pinckney, and McCloud to be good players but let's not forget, it's still their freshman years. TE is pretty solid with Njoku as the receiving threat and Dobard as more of a tradional inline TE. We are set at the most important position in football at QB with one of the best in the country but the protection in front of him and the defensive backfield will likely be the downfall of this season sadly.

This season will depend on the coach of our OL (Searles) and the coach of our DL (Kool). However they perform, the rest will fall into place.

Losing to ND wouldn't be nearly as big a deal as losing 7 straight to FSU. We absolutely 110% cannot lose to FSU.

I really think this is an 8-10 Win team... But here's hoping for 11!!!

We need to beat everybody, but even if we lose to fsu or nd, we need to make it competitive as ***** because kids will realize you almost there. Saying that when you think that the previous idiots should have won at least 2 or 3 more with their incompetent defenses and offenses, I'm confident 10 wins are pretty much safe to say.

Yeah, but Golden did less with more than any coach we've had since... well, all the last three coaches did less with more. Good coaching beats FSU and Cinnci last year. Still lose to Clemson, but not 580-0. We have the talent to jump to 10 wins, since we had the talent to win 10 games LAST year. I expect Kaaya to flat out destroy the ACC this year with Richt calling plays.

If we can beat FSU and ND this year, there is no reason we don't finish the season 13-1 at the worse, with the 1 loss against MAYBE Clemson (ACC Championship) and BCS bowl win against a random school. Or an ACC Championship + Playoff first round exit.
