He struggled his first two years when he got PT (and was injured after week 2 this year) but the talent is there

Ya he struggled as a freshman I remember. I thought he looked good against us. Horton caught a nice over the shoulder deep ball on him but the coverage was nice.

Kid lost his starting spot and quit on his team who is in the playoffs and SEC championship game. UGA fans said he isnt any good and were wanting a change for the longest time. No thank you.

He can come here and compete our corners are nowhere near Georgia's room & we need all the competition we can get.

I liked the kid more than Damari coming out of HS, stated it several times. That being said he has struggled the little bit I’ve seen him, including against us earlier this fall.

Again, yes we need bodies desperately. But that doesn’t mean take several guys who got benched/struggled when they played. Between this kid and someone like Humphrey, I think you just take 1 of them. JMO

Penn state, ole miss and IU all vastly upgraded their defensive backfield through the portal. Unfortunately we have to replace Guidry and bring in talent to the defensive backfield via the portal. Most guys don’t want to go somewhere knowing the coach is bailing. So it’s really threading the needle and that worries me. Furthermore, we have two tf coming in off massive injuries.

Where is the hope? I think last years haul with Mack, Day, OJ, and Thomas could be good next year and excellent as juniors. I also think the defensive talent at DL is encouraging. No doubt we need 2 quality dbs, and that’s not an impossibility.

This will hurt us in this winter portal when a lot of DB’s and really defensive players in general enter . What are we going to sell them obviously not what’s been on the field. It's a lose-lose.
- Mario doesn't get rid of Guidry and it's used against him in recruiting and the portal.
- He fires Guidry and DCs might not want to come work for him because he burns through them. It would be his 3rd DC in 4 years.

This is why it's baffling that he takes sooooo long to hire and yet keeps missing on guys and/or having problems internally with guys being on the same page!
