Potential Portal DB’s (CB’s & S’s only)

I see a lot of you wanting dbs that are not only impactful, but studs. If thats the case, just remember that this take up the good portion of the budget. Also, if we're adding a portal qb, the portal class will be smaller than we expected. This is Honestly fine by me. I would say a 2 dbs, a veteran dlineman (either DT or DE), WR, QB, and potentially a Guard is all we really need

I think we go after both a DT and a DE. We lose Alston and Barron and a bunch of DTs (Clark, Marley, and Campbell). Maybe even 2 DE's depending who comes out early and if we don't add more DL in the 2025 class

A name to keep tabs on for next year's Portal:

- Raion Strader
His Sophomore season thus far:

Those are good stats, and looks like he likes to tackle, something we are struggling with with our cbs on the outside run plays.

Curious, will you make a top 10 “wants” for DBs when the portal opens up. I feel like you do a good job at looking at what’s available.
Sure I'll try to.

But the thread might get locked, because I'm not allowed to post on non-Miami related players & it could look like I'm patting myself on the back if any of them happen to be good.

However, if they suck & people get to throw it in my face, then it's okay.

Your posts are top notch and always must read to me, regardless of the outcome in the years that follow. You combine a coaches eye with the writing skills of a journalist from years ago.

Much appreciated.

This comment is directed at me, and rightfully so. I overreacted and acted immaturely in a thread about Drelon Miller. And a public and personal comment like the one I made deserves a public apology. @Memnon that entire situation was my fault.
