Easy to blame culture when you’re losing. If they can ball then take them. Georgia players are constantly in trouble it seems but the program is always in the national title convo.

I hear you but the problematic Uga players are on a whole different athletic spectrum than FSU. Noles don't have 1 guy who could start on the Jawja squad. But in those situations you have to trust the staffs judgment to weigh risk vs reward

Our portal evaluations are cheeks. Paying Barron a 100k per facemask grab is inexcusable. Barrow and Cam are the only ones worth it.
Except in extenuating circumstances (Ponds comes to mind), if we are going to portal, we need to focus on players
1. Productive starters at smaller P4 teams that would jump at an opportunity to play main event games (think Cam, Damien Martinez, Barrow, Carpenter)
2. Rare super obvious G5 or FCS player who dominated and has all the measureables.
What not to pull in
1. Backup or Role players who want to start - if they couldnt start or be a big time performer elsewhere, why give them starter pay and minutes here?
2. G5 or FCS players who have great tape, but not all the measureables.
If we didn’t take guys just to take guys, we could have tapped into our freshmen more and given them valuable learning reps. Next year we will have guys like Ny, Jojo, Quan, Pruitt, Pickett, Ryan Mack are going to be unproven and they were behind transfers who didn’t show out.

We may have to make it 4/5 DBs. None of the CBs we have done nothing as of yet outside of OJ. And do we even have a reliable S on the roster right now?
