What's encouraging is that this is not a place that requires a tremendous amount of new talent. This means to me that the kids are getting whatever "it" is that is being communicated to them.

I disagree. Our defense was actually pretty porous, the only reason we didn't allow a lot of points is because our offense was predicated on ball control and taking up as much time as we could. Our best "defense" was not allowing our defense on the field because they were terrible. I was more excited about how we saw improvement from beginning to end.

yeah definitely see it this way when it comes to last year's defense. i'm hoping for a big improvement from the DC.

what gives me hope is that we cut the turnovers down so much last year, we got a lot of talent on the OL returning and at LB and in the secondary we have more talent to work with than last year.

I sort of disagreed... The were never on the field long... It was more of the opposite most teams used ball control on us... Our offense probably never won the time of possession and most of the few games we lost we were only in it because of a few big plays due to our offense...
