Anyone think we should hit the portal for a LB before camp opens up? I know there’s very little time left but with injuries to Steed, Wilder, and Jennings it might be smart to bring in a guy even if it’s to contribute on special teams and take some snaps when Shaq and Pinckney need a rest.

Do we have the room in IC's? Gotta remember I think we are going to try to count some of the '20 players back to the '19 class as IC's. Coaches gotta make that call ultimately.

I think the JuCo guy just took the last of the ICs for 19. I don't think we have any room left from that class. The talk all along was that the last spot from '19 IC would be for an OL, hopefully an OT. We just got the guy this week to fill the spot. I think we are stuck at 25 for 2020 and they would all count toward 2020.
I know someone who has a table counting all of this, but I'm not going to elicit his help again. :zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg:

Yea I wasn't sure. I thought we were really tight with 1 or 2 left for the IC. I trust you because I'm not looking for it again either lol

Both now (but like many above said...slim pickings at this point), but definitely next year for a portal LB
 
Don't know about the counters. But even if we still have a spot open, there's no way a good LB will transfer in with only one year to play to sit behind the 4 seniors. I think we're stuck with what we have and need to pray for no more injuries.

All three of our starters started 2016 as true freshmen. If any of them go down, one of the freshman may need to step up and get it done. It's not ideal. But Manny's managed around such inexperience in the past. And I really like Huff and Brooks.

Joyner has been permanently moved to LB.

But yes, I think we can get a little creative if need be with our strikers to fill in. Most are basically LBs anyway.

I wouldn't waste a spot. But we absolutely have to hit a home run at LB this recruiting cycle.

Manny just said today they are looking at portal and may still make moves
 
OK, and that player can be counted towards 2020, which was proposed if Phillips was late or whatever.

I think we are now full on for 2019. Unless the info I have seen is off by 1. Doubt it.
