In my opinion what's we may be doing is sending a message to high school recruiters that says don't come here if you need to develop before you are ready for college level, go somewhere else and develop and then we will take you and put you on the field. It's similar to the situation of the college graduate applying for a job and being told we like you are we are confident that you will succeed and be a productive employee in the future, but we are looking for someone with experience. How do you get the experience without working? I'm hoping that this only the case because of the "all in" Cam Ward season and that we will get back to playing our young guys more so that WE can help them to develop here at Miami. Are we recruiting players to play or is the portal starting to take precedence over recruiting at the U?
