The pressure of "most important game of season" is setting up fans and entire atmosphere around our Canes for huge letdown.

Canes aren't leaving Chapel Hill with W.

The meltdowns will place the blame very likely in the wrong places. It is very easy to criticize coaching or play miscues when the teams on the field are operating under very different guardrails of the game.

Until Miami either leaves ACC for a conference that officiates fairly, is blindly incompetent reagrdless of team, OR can somehow get fair officiating from ACC referees, our Canes and this fanbase will just have to accept a hard cap on Ws based on their whims.

With what we saw against GT, 4-6-ish loss season is absolutely on the table.

My sense is Saban, Smart, Meyer, B Kelly, Riley, and even Prime etc are coaches that referees and conferences by and large "don't fool around with" due to their personalities/gravitas/whatever. Until Miami can crack this code with ACC, our beloved Canes are just limited. It's an ugly truth of how it works.

Win decisively, take the officiating out of the equation. That’s the only way, but will we?
